12th of October 2008 A Real Blast of a Meet
Re: 12th of October 2008 A Real Blast of a Meet
THIS MEET HAS BEEN RE-SCHEDULED FOR 26TH 0CTOBER
Numbers for this meet are low with only 4 members curently planning to attend.
Following consultations, the date for this meet has now been changed to 26th October,
when, hopefully, more members will be available to attend.
Please post something in this thread if you are going.

As long as the weather holds out, I plan to be there. As we are galloping towards Winter, it may be wise to see what the forecasts are closer to the time.
Also, the new date is when the clocks revert to proper GMT, so it will get darker earlier in the evenings.

The new date of 26/10 provisionally works for me, subject to the weather forecast. Not sure if I'll be on the track, but I'm definitely up for the trip.
Ken - happy to meet to travel up together. No need for directions...I know the way well.
Steve-UK - are you able to edit the date in the thread's subject heading?

In the USA the standard Crossfires are recording around 15.00 Sec's on the standing quarter mile, at 95mph. Anything quicker than this is a very respectable time. The SRT's are turning times of around 13.30 at 107mph
and modified Crossfires are around 2 seconds quicker!
There are no results for the Crossfire on Drag Strips in the UK (yet)
If you wish to see your best time recorded on the Santa Pod Chart, you can register your details on their website, free of charge. You will be issued with your competition number and after the meet, see your name, car type and best time, up there for all to see!
