New XFire owner
Hello everyone, I have just taken possession of a 04 Crossfire or rather, she seems to have taken possession of me.
I have been a Ford Cougar 2.5 VT owner for the past 8 years and thought I would never find a car that grabbed my attention as much as the Cat did, That was until last week.
I was nosying on Ebay for cars that were automatic and within 30 miles of where I lived. The only car that grabbed my attention was the XFire.
My husband has wanted me to downsize the Cougar for a little while now -
Unfortunately, he wasn't specific enough!
I went down in width, height and length . He did not mention engine size
I managed to talk him into going to have a" look" at the XFire. He was smitten and yesterday we got her!
All week I had been upset at parting with the Cougar, but yesterday I dropped her off and bid her farewell.
The XFire was ready to collect and I actually drove away with hardly a backward glance. I took the XFire for a drive last night and the grin on my face convinced me that I had made a great choice.
My car reg is LC04 ***... to be known as Elsie. Hence my forum name.
My real name is Jacquie Stewart - my husband should have known I would not be content with a Fiesta!!
Anyway, after going on so much, I do hope I will be welcomed and look forward to meeting you all soon.
Pity I cannot make the meet this weekend.

Thanks Steve,
thought I best join both forums. May need the help if I encounter any problems.
Car is going well tho... loving the power and the admiring glances she gets!
Hope to get to a meet - are any ever up this way? Midlands, Lincolnshire S Yorks etc?

Virtually all the meets have been South as that's where most folks are from but we did have a very good one at Chatsworth last year. We also have several lady owners who now attend regularly. Now that we have at least 8 owners up here "in't north" I hope we can do something. I have contacts who wish to attend if we can do this, they are in York, Manchester, also a lady owner in Leeds, etc. Also a chap with a Red Roadster at Sturton By Stow. I reckon Chatsworth would be a good one to do again as a nice cruise in the Peak District can be included

Hi FP
Its not only the UK membership that is growing!
I've moved up to a 46" waist since owning a Crossfire..It must be all the beer that Steve UK has forced me to consume, during past stay away xfire weekend meets
Chunky UK Ken.
