Default Opinions on my painted hood?

Here's 2 pics I made, just animated the one to show people that aren't familiar with the lines of the Crossfire how it follows the natural lines. I plan on getting it painted this summer of later spring. What do you guys think?

I kinda like the idea but honestly I think that the xfire could do without the racing stripes...the xfire is more of a elegant sports car...if you do decide may I have a suggestion and go with ghost racing stripes or just a slight darker color than the original paint...also would you be adding the racing stripes the entire length of the car...good luck.

Oh no.
Romio, if you keep this up - I'm turning you in to laughatrice.com (just kidding).
What if you painted the full middle of the hood (from the outside rib, through to the center rib), or the whole hood, the roof, and the hatch/spoiler. I think that would look good. If I was hip with photoshop I would try to show you what I'm thinking, but I'm not.

To me it looks good, but as andrew said go with the vinyl first and see if you like it from there... also post some pics up in case we decide to follow your idea.

yea i did PS the roof painted and my spoiler painted. but i didn't post the roof pics because the pic i was using didn't have alot of sunlight, so if you darken it, there's not alot of contract to keep the shape of lines.

Here's 2 pics of the wing. I think it would look mean. And i am trying to be the 2nd (after patpur) to be "laughatrice".

Romio,
I think if you could paint your spoiler the same color as your tint, it would look like you have a longer window and it would blend in much better. The black sort of stands our like it doesn't belong. The tint isn't that much lighter, but enough to make a difference. Try doing a PS and change it to the same as your windows and then post back a picture for us to see.

It's nice to see someone trying new things.

WHY? I think the car looks better without any stripes.

You need something more subtle. I know mine is red but an off gray would look best for any two tone, grille painted to match.

I'd have to agree with Romio. The painted spoiler almost looks like it came from another vehicle, kinda like some old cars you see with different colored fenders, doors or hoods.

Maybe the whole package will look better once your done.

But i think it wont look like that on a new looking car. have you ever seen a car that still looks brand new, with unpainted factory parts. Maybe, but I think it will be obvious its custom paint, not a replacement.

I would consider painting the roof, rear hatch and spoiler only. Leave the hood alone! That's about as radical as I'd go.

I painted my roof black last year to give it a panoramic look.
IT is key to buff it flat as glass to complete the illusion.
I think it looks great with my dark tinted windows.

I just realized it has been a long time since I updated my gallery.
I will try to get to it to show off some of my mods.
