HIDs
I agree with snowtop, I would have gone with the 5K or 4,200K instead of the 6K. You'll be able to see more and the bulb will still have a bluish/white tinge to it.
As far as seating the HIDs. I would install them first, then go back at night, turn them on a fidget with the bulb to make sure it's really in there and that the light disperses evenly. It took me a few tries but I eventually got it.

no, but go to hidplanet.com and you can get oem quality components, with oem 4,300 bulbs... much much better quality than the mcculloch kit.
they sell parts brand new... in packages with the bulbs, ballasts, etc.
if you broaden your horizons beyond the crossfire forum, you'll see that as a whole, mcculloch kits really don't have that good of a reputation... while better than the really cheap chinese kits, they still lack a lot in quality.
i'm not sure why everyone here holds them in such high regards... it's not a good product.
