why go with 6,000k? it puts out significantly less light than a 4,300k bulb.

I agree with snowtop, I would have gone with the 5K or 4,200K instead of the 6K. You'll be able to see more and the bulb will still have a bluish/white tinge to it.

As far as seating the HIDs. I would install them first, then go back at night, turn them on a fidget with the bulb to make sure it's really in there and that the light disperses evenly. It took me a few tries but I eventually got it.

Do you guys know anyone that sells a 5,000K McCulloch kit?

no, but go to hidplanet.com and you can get oem quality components, with oem 4,300 bulbs... much much better quality than the mcculloch kit.

I'd rather not piece together a kit...everyone seems to be happy with mcculloch...

they sell parts brand new... in packages with the bulbs, ballasts, etc.

if you broaden your horizons beyond the crossfire forum, you'll see that as a whole, mcculloch kits really don't have that good of a reputation... while better than the really cheap chinese kits, they still lack a lot in quality.

i'm not sure why everyone here holds them in such high regards... it's not a good product.

You may be right, but for the money and the fact that others are having good luck with them in the crossfires, I'm still not against them.
