Wink Here's a new lighting mod - Pic's inside

When I was trying to put the tint on my rear side marker lights I wasn't liking how it looked so I came up with a little thought. I found that the front clear side marker lights were the same shape as the back sooo. Some may like it and some my not, the pic's don't do the lights justice, they really look good in real life. The front side markers have hyper white inverted cone LED's and the back have the same only in red, Here's a few pic's. The close up pic of the rear drivers side I put a couple small boo boo's on the edge of the hole trying to pull the side marker light back out to get the little red sticker dot off the LED that I left on, not thinking you would see it. The rear side marker lights are a little tougher to get out than the front.

Looks great, I'm going to have to do the same for my blacked out roadster.

~ damian ... another forum member had done the same... a tight fit with some slight mods to the backside of the lens in order to adapt to the opening...

Thumbs up Re: Here's a new lighting mod - Pic's inside

Looks great! I'm glad someone finally had the ***** to try this mod. I've been wondering for so long if it was possible. I'm not afraid to proceed with the idea.

I actually notched out the hole were the metal clip on the back of the clear lens snaps in to get them to fit, and you are right Andrew it's a tight fit. I saved the little pieces I cut out, I think with some very small pop rivet's and a thin piece of metal you could go back to the OEM light. The inverted cone red LED's reflects the red light out to the sides and kind of spreads through the lines of the clear lens, I hate it that I couldn't get a good pic of what they really looked like.
