Guys, thanks for all the nice comments. A few questions have come up so I will attempt to address them here. A number of people have asked if we will be doing other finishes on the grill. At this point, we need to provide a high quality product and good service with what we have. Initially, I started out wanting to develop a mesh grill. And someone has asked if we may offer that. The cost of the surround on that grill, and materials that would likely be used, caused us to not pursue that. Who knows what the future may bring. As for other finishes, at this point we don't plan to offer another finish. That might change. Some of you might want to buy a grill and have it plated on your own. We are offering the polished aluminum grill (we can also do the brushed aluminum, or I think a solid black powder coat) at this time. It looks like initially we are going to have more demand than we thought. We will deliver on a first come, first serve basis. One other comment, I have had some guys contact me from the Phoenix area where I am. I initially told them I would arrange for them to pick up a grill. But, I now find that for me to do that I need a resale license and have to charge sales tax. I don't want to get involved in that at this point. As long as we ship and use the internet, it keeps it simple and I like simple. The cost of shipping is usually less than sales tax in Arizona. I am basically a guy who grew up in my dad's body shop and have retired from other pursuits. I have always been involved in designing and developing services or products. I enjoy providing a product that is needed and we will do our very best for any who want our grill.

 

This is the first grill concept that is universally liked and applauded. Good job. If my budget allows I may jump in too.

The grill reminds me of the "streamlined" designs of the "30's", which fit in quit well with the "Art Deco" design of the Crossfire.
It also reminds me a little of the custom grills from the 50's.
It's great to have option's isn't it?
I think it's amazing how Crossfire owners are creating their very own "after market" for this car.
Now if somebody could fabricate a simple "bolt in" aftermarket differential so we could install any gear ratio we want, there would be some serious "Z" and Porsche killers stalking the streets.

I'll try to respond to some of the questions that have been raised. First, developing something like this is sort of like trying to order pizza for a group and having everyone want something different on it. We have tried to balance economics with design. With regard to the center rib question, at this point we are able to offer this because we have been able to adapt and utilize the billet grill fabrication system. To add the center bar would require additional engineering and at this point we're not able to do that. I really don't know what the future will bring. If there is enough business to support it in the future, and the fabrication is workable that might happen.
As for resizing the lower grills, I'm not sure what that means. I assume you mean to fit inside and not be flush. The existing design worked well because it fits with the smooth upper look, and it also was practical. There are always different ways to do things and we do want to hear everyone's ideas. We are open but we have to start somewhere. I appreciate the interest in the grill and we will try to improve it where we can. We have invested a lot of time in trying to get the right fit so that it doesn't look like an aftermarket grill. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
