Question Wow for the Head lights

Tonight is the first time I drove the Roadster after dark. The headlights really surprised me. They are the best I have ever seen. Much better than on my truck or beater.

I do have a question. Why does the light switch have a position to turn on only the right side parking lights and another to turn on the left side parking lights? Why would you want to only turn on one side?

Thanks

You have a euro type of option to be able to illuminate either the left side parking lights,
or the right side parking lights. I believe it is on all Crossfires. It's set up like this on my 04 Coupe

You may also find that you headlight **** when the lights are on pulls outward to turn on your fog lamps. The switch may pull out to two positions . If you find that to be the case this is the reason although you won't have the rear light on your car here in the US just a two position switch..........

In Europe every car must be equipped with a rear fog lamp.
That's why our EU-Crossfires have different tail lamps. One with the back up light (white) and one with the fog light (red).
The light **** has pulls outward two position when lights are on.

First pull engages the front fog lamps. Second pull activates additionally the rear fog lamp.

The right/left side positions are called standing lamps. They're there so that if you park by the side of the road you can turn on the ourboard lamp as a warning to passing cars that something is there. This is good since people coming up behind you won't see a pair of tail lights and think you're actually on the road itself. BANG!
