Default Anyone experience dim HIDs? Strange.

I bought a kit off Ebay. Good quality, I'm pleased with that part. The HID bulb when turned on outside the car is blinding its so bright. But when installed its dimmer than our stock halogens. Should I be adjusting the headlights or something? I'm pointing them as high as possible now to get as much light as possible, but its still very dim.

Just to make sure the HID was still functioning I removed a bulb and turned it on, again it was blindingly bright like I've seen HID bulbs before. Its definately working. Just doesn't look right from inside the housing??

I'm 99.9% percent POSITIVE you do not have the bulbs seated correctly. Also, what color temp did you get?

Even though you may think you have the bulbs seated, they might not be. They go in and sit DEEP in their hole. There should be a little knotch like this - on the bulb metal part, make sure that is aligned with the bottom of the seating, then I believe there are two other angular diagonal notches too.

I thought my HIDS SUCKED (got them from ebay too) until I realized the bulbs were not seated.

Yup, I just browsed through more searches and I see people have had this problem. Seems to be a seating prob, so I'll mess with it later.

They're 6000K.

Take a look at the driver side first, since there's no obstacles and it's the easiest to use. At the bottom, look at where the bottom of the bulb "slides" in to be seated properly.
