Yes, but I haven't noticed that extreme of blue that maxichon claims. I do not see yellow signs turning green.

The first picture in daylight shows them REALLY blue, I don't know why.

They go very well with my aero blue coupe! I love them. There is a blue tint.. but they are not "blue light".. at least in my opinion.

I think either with 4300k, 5000k, or 6000k you would be very very happy. Definitely gives the car a luxury $$$ look.

Even my mom says she feels like a million bucks driving it at night

Thanks. I've been doing more research on them and will repeat a post I put in another thread about HID's:

Here's a nice example of the color vs. temp.

More can be learned about them from this site click here.

8000 looks the coolest as far as in pictures go but man does it scream aftermarket. thats why i want a 4300 or 5000. and i know you didnt mean to pick which one i should get max i was just saying that your making me lean more towards 4300 which is what i think i will get. i just really like the look of lexus lights and i thought they had something closer to 4600 or 4700

I think 8000 would be too much blue. I installed 6000 on my Eclipse when I had it... and it was really blue. Even though it was a lot brighter than the stock halogens, it was still pure blue; I could not imagine what 8000 would be, probably the same but much less light output. I also think I would be happy with 4300 or 5000. But you cannot go by the charts... I saw one where it showed 6000 being almost a brilliant white... or maybe after it all, they sent me the wrong bulbs and I never knew lol.

I replaced my 5000K's with 4300K and am very happy. White.
The way I like it!

Anyone need some 5000K bulbs only? Only about 20 minutes of use! Cheap!

when it comes to temp/color, i thought there was a legal limit to color. the 12000's are not legal are they? not that i would want them but i thought like 6000 was the legal limit for color. if/when i go hid, i'm going with the 4300 as i'd like it to look as white as possible.

I have no idea about the legality of 12000. Yesterday, I attended a program about LED lights. I found it interesting that the color temps actually put out more light than white temp. That said, maybe the 12000's are too bright to be legal.

Laws might vary by every state.. but I know in Michigan ALL aftermarket HID's are illegal..

Now.. I can't really see any police officer pulling you over unles you really do have a highly noticeable 12000k or PURPLE lights.. just pointless imo too.

Another question for all you HID buffs... do they make HID kits that replace our fog light bulbs?

I think that replacing ALL the lights with HID would be very nice indeed.

MMZ, yes they do. Just order the 9005 or 9006 (I forget which one) and the color you want. They are 120 degree "twist-in" just like OEM.

This is my next move.

9006. I checked the sticky.

Thanks again Andrew!

that's interesting because i heard just to opposite. did a little google research and found this at http://www.omegaxenon.com/index.html :

What is Kelvin (K) ? :
Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin that indicates the hue of a specific type of light source. Many people believe the misconception that colour temperature is a rating of the brightness of the bulb or Hid kit. This belief is completely false. The reality of the matter is that the higher the colour temperature, the less useable light output you will obtain. A perfect example would be a black light. This light has a colour temperature of approx 14,000k and has almost no useable light or lumens output. Higher K kits such as 12,000k, 14000k, etc. have been manufactured for individuals that are more concerned about the actual colour output of their lights as opposed to the actual useable light output.
What is Lumen (lm) ? :

The international unit (SI) of luminous flux (quantity of lights). For example, a dinner candle produces about 12 lumens and a standard 60-watt incandescent bulb produces 830 lumens.

Omega Color (K) and Lumen (lm) chart :
3500K Gold Yellow 3,600 (lm)
6000K Pure White - Blueish 3,200 (lm)
6000K Pure White - Blueish 2nd Gen 4,200 (lm)
8000K Purple White 2,600 (lm)
10000K Pure Blue 2,400 (lm)

and some more info from http://www.billetmyride.com/hid-kits...discharge.html :

eRuby, do they say anything about throwing the "bulb Out" lamp? If you have a problem with that I, or someone posted a link to an installation guide for a capacitor to fool the lamp. Let us know?

BTW, 4300 is the way to go.

i haven't gotten it yet but it looks like the bulb out issue is an older issue. i've read several post recently on hid installation and nobody has had an issue with the bulb out light. the issue seems to track back to 2006 but we will see. i know i posted up about wholesale-hid and someone had purchased from them with no problems so i went ahead with that kit for 3 reasons: 1) price 2) location 3) ebay feedback.

now, technically this was a xmas present from my girlfriend. she was too skerd to order them herself even though i told her i wanted 4300K and needed h7 bulb. when it comes in, i will see if she will let me install them early or have to wait until 12/25.
