I believe that forum member Tbird did those himself.

You can get the karmann badges by writing to them, some forum members have done this with success.

Don't know about the stripes but if you are looking for these I have them




They are domed self sticking and as of this coming weekend on sale. Can't give away the surprise but they will be less than $10 each.

Check for stripes at a boat store, they always have different colors and sizes. There are also stripes like that sold in the Corvette aftermarket catalogs. Stan

I don't know the intimate details of whose toes were stepped on, or who infringed on whose copyrights, but if a trademarked (and I would suppose that "Crossfireforum.org" and "CICCI" are now considered that) item or image is offered for sale, a reasonable percentage should be offered to the owners organization.
BUT, if they are offered for distribution at little or no profit margin, and the main purpose is to spread the word, as it were, about the organization, I feel that no one should be too offended. This is in reference ONLY to the Crossfire.org items. Some one put a bit of effort, as I understand it, in making/altering the fonts to make them in the first place.
In the case of, for lack of a better term, "generic" items such as the "3.2 L V6 Powered by Mercedes Benz" badges These should be dealt with separately in the "Items For Sale" section. Copyrights are there for a good reason and should not be abused, but for the good of the club, (no/low profit) might be ignored.

I'm just happy that folks are making the bleedin' things and I am able, for a modest cost, adorn my xFire with them and at the same time spread the word.

Now kiss and make up, come to an agreement, and get back to work!

Jonnyangel04, as I have explained to rcompart via pm. My issue was simply with a reply that clearly did not pertain to you. A question was posed as to who's car this was and where did the stripes come from and are they available. Seeing as it was my car in the pic. I believe I have a right to respond. I am not on here 24/7 so give a guy a chance, OK!!! No need to quote threads and point fingers.

I have checked through my pm's from as far back as May of this year and I cannot find anything with your name on it, Sorry if somehow I did not receive your other pm's. In reply to your other info, I did have concerns about your use of information, copy, lettering, logo's, whatever you want to call it, and the risk you we're both taking, and the ramifications it my cause to this forum. I understand wanting to help each other out, thats what this whole site is all about and I'm all for it, just don't risk everything we have here over a decal.
