Stainless side accent came off
One of the side accents on my car came off and i'm not sure what would be a good way to put it back on.
Would a strong double sided tape work or would i need something stronger like an epoxy?
Any suggestions?

Do you mean the ones pictured in post #37 on this link?
If so click on the thumbnails, the pins hold them on.

I personally would try JB Quick Weld Epoxy. The "quick" part of it will set up faster so you don't have to hold it in place overnight. Just apply to the area that originally held it on.

As long as were on this subject. I tried to put an emblem on before I knew the trick and got it on crooked. I used the old heat gun and dental floss to get it off. Since it ruined the adhesive on the double sides tape. (Avery Dennison) I have to either re-tape it or use goo. I'd rather use goo and I can think of a lot of them that will work but I'm not sure which ones will allow me to remove them without removing the paint if they get crappy looking or I decide I don't like them. I plan on E-mailing A.D. but this seemed like a good opportunity to ask all of you.
Pretty long winded for a simple question. Please indulge me. MM

Are you talking about stainless or chrome trim on the side vents on the fenders? If so I believe that they are super glued on over the original plastic side strakes. If that is what you are talking about you will have to use super glue or epoxy; i.e. no room for double sided tape...
Good luck and let us know how you do...

I'm talking about the chrome trim, sorry if there was confusion. Thanks for the help, i guess i'm going to have to get an epoxy and wait until it warms up a little before i can put it back on.
