Default Looking for SRT wing

I have a 04 limited and I am looking for a SRT wing. Anyone know the best way to go about switching from the automatic wing to the fixed wing? Know where i can find one? what i would have to do to change it or fix so the spoiler light wont flash?

Contact user James1549, he has successfully made the converion and it looks great.

I believe he had to buy the entire trunk lid to get the spoiler tho...

Your first obstacle is to aquire the wing and mounting plate. After that I can give you specific directions on how to resolve the light and beep issues.

I had to buy the complete hatch (used parts car) which included everything I needed. If you buy new, you need two major parts, the wing and the mounting plate.

Is this a popular enough swap for somebody to actually get busy and start producing a "carbon fiber" version of the SRT6 wing?
The reason I ask, is because I had every intention of installing a SRT wing on my car, even before I found it. But after spending a couple of weeks with my 04, I got hooked on the novelty of the NA's wing going thru its paces. Later on though, I got put off by the attention it got from "ricers" every time I reached highway speeds, and that's why I installed the "kill" switch.
I still like the way the Crossfire looks all three ways (SRT style, or NA style "aroused or relaxed). But lately seeing the SRT wing on Crossfires of a different color, it's renewed my interest.
Any CF fabricators out there interested?

i would enjoy a nice wing like the srt it does not have to be a carbon fiber if it makes the price jump up versus just fiberglass painted.

I am 100% torn, I have never been one to try to make a car something it is not, at first I thought it was an NA trying to look like an SRT, then I drove behind James for a few hundred miles to the dragon and really liked the look. I would entertain some quotes on a GB for CF or even just painted FG.

I second that. CF or just painted group buy would be sweet

It's not about making a car something it's not, it's about making YOUR car look the way YOU like it. That's what it's all about.
I only mentioned carbon fiber because it's "lighter" and can still be painted.

With your hood, I think the SRT wing would look awesome on your car.

Romio, I forgot to mention, if you find your parts needed, do NOT let go of your active wing. You will need the motor out of it to trick the BCM.

Sounds good to me, Ole Doc and I are on the north side of Indianapolis about 3 hours from Chicago. Keep an eye on the Indiana thread in the regional meets section, we are trying to put something together for this summer...
