headlight adjustment

With the sharp cut-off lines on our cars, a great rule-of-thumb is to NEVER adjust them any higher than the bottom of the side rearview mirror on another car. Some say the "trim line". If you are behind some one and you are shining your low beams on that mirror- they are too high
I'm removing mine to do a black out look and then reinstall. In the old days there was a process of having you car 10' from a wall and adjusting the 3' off the ground and the center of the beam 7' apart. I guess the same general rule applies. Sometimes I sure wish big trucks and SUVs had their beams adjusted a little lower.

Before you take them off, mark where they shine on the wall and where you parked. After re-installation, park in the same location and adjust them to the same spot on the wall.
