Default Slk front end.

So Ive been wondering. Im about to get a new paint job paid for and was also looking to do something unique with my car. So I started looking at what kinda things I could find to fit onto the car, lip kits and what not, then it hit me. why not the whole slk front end. Now before I go nuts doing it I plan on doing a little photoshop to make sure it doesnt end up looking like garbage, I plan on doing both the older and newer style slk's, though Im not sure that the new style will work as it looks like the spot where the doors and fenders meet are different. However, I think with the proper color chose, and the right grill, this might actually look clean.
I was wondering however, has anyone herre tried this or heard of it done? Everything looks like it should fit up, just wanna know the suprises before I get there.

You may be interested in this kit from reiger. It's for the R170 platform (Crossfire underpinnings) to convert it to look like an SLK.
