My problem will be in deciding whether to paint it white to match my roadster or paint it blue to match the SRT that I will get at the CAA

Doc, you dont have to worry about it... you'll likely have 3 by then and that is the limit...... and I have room to park another Aero at my house.....

I really love this hood.... (especially since I havent figured out how to steal Mopar's)...... can't wait to see it on a car for real and painted to match.....

well, the dealer friend thinks he's going to sell it for $22K...I offered him $16k, before he has to return it to the auction....lol....so we shall see....they also have a C320 4matic she likes, but I am holding out the SRT...

Sorry Silver, I think that could be worse than painting such beautiful stuff. And on an Alabaster, I think it would look awesome

As for emblems, I would contact H82BL8 (Bill) he is a good guy and has a black and stainless emblem that I have on the front of my car that would look awesome on these. I know he recently stopped selling them because his forum sponsorship ended, but last I checked he still has some around, worth a PM to find out.

My last question, when will we see this on an XF for the 'whole picture' look. Or maybe someone could photoshop this last pic onto someone's nice ride, I would certainly volunteer some pics of mine if need be

THANK YOU MADMED, you are the man.

Man I need a set of those emblems

I'm working with them on the different types of mesh they will provide with each kit! (Open Mesh / Closed Mesh) I should have more info soon!!!

Beside the vents, I think the carbon front emblem looks nice! At least we can paint them if we want! Thanks for the idea BoilerUpXFire

Next question......... I need a really nice set of revised XF Emblems!!!!!

Mad Med
I'd like to second (or third) the notion that having the mesh painted black (or made out of a darker material gray/black) would be best ... is that a possible option? I know we could get that done elsewhere after the fact, but if it is an option, it would be best

If I ever jumped for this hood, I'd most likely paint the whole thing white, only leaving the vent-surrounds CF with black mesh. THAT would be mint.

While the hood is BEYOND gorgeous, I simply couldn't have such a high percentage of the car's total exterior not matching the rest...

Especially since the remainder of the car would be in factory trim. Perhaps if it was a dedicated weekend racer...

Sorry, But for a bulk buy order to be ready by next month, the order would have needed to be placed last month, which means It would have needed to be Qual tested back in April.

I'm in no real hurry and can wait for things to be done right. Take whatever time is necessary. Quality is job one.
