Oversimplification, I know, but I hope we can make it work. Thanks again MadMed, this is going to be awesome.

Also, if there is someone who would be willing to offer up their windshield surrounds this next winter while their car is in storage, I would not mind working with them to do some CF ones.....
Med, I didn't know if you missed this, but it looks like the demand for the CF wings will be there as well, let me know what you think.

Good News / Bad New!

Good

OMG... The emblem looks amazing. I'm going to get more things done.

OMG... The hood is amazing.

Bad
OMG... DHL dropped my box, the box had a hole in it as if something fell on it, and my hood has 3 crazy cracks in it.

Good
I get another hood sent for free..

Bad,
I have an extra hood that need a little work.
I will get pics up tomorrow. I'm really pissed about what happened. The supplier said shipping companies tend to handle carbonfiber boxed parts carelessly due to the light weight.

Thanks
Sad Med

So pretty much you're saying that if I want to paint this bad boy up, you've already got my hood. LOL

Well, can use still use it to test the fit and finish on the car? Or is it useless for it's most important function. (At least to those of us on the fence and waiting to be pulled over)
Finally, can you put it on the scale and get the final weight.

It's not just DHL. They are all irresponsible with packages now a days. Sorry yours got ruined.

Yes. I will test fit the hood tomorrow after work! The supplier said not to worry about DHL, they will take care of it and send my perfect hood with the Bulk Buy. She calmed me down and said make sure the hood fits.... and everything else is perfect!!!

Wow, that sucks. So you can't do any quality control / stress testing with the hood because it's already cracked? Or how large are the cracks, etc.?

Even though it's a little roughed up. It will be fine. I just had to get over the shock of seeing all my money and hard work get tossed on the ground and treated like junk. Now since the bad emotions have passed, there will be no problem finishing what I started. Plus, knowing I will receive another to replace this hood in the bulk buy is a plus!

Ok

So looking pass the DHL birth defect of my new born, she is amazing.

Yeah, I worked in a UPS loading job for a few months about 8 years ago or so ago (definite sweat shop job).

The most important thing was getting packages loaded and unloaded as quickly as possible, and unless it was obvious that something was breakable, we definitely tossed the packages around.

Were there "fragile, handle with care" stickers all over the box, as well as plenty of foam surrounding the hood? If not, I hope they will be on the bulk buy (assuming all goes well up to then) or this will be happening to all of the shipped hoods.

Bulk buy hoods will be delivered on a pallets in sets of five. My friend was told today that pallets have always prevented damage. We will personally inspect and repackage with more packing material each hood individually to ensure first time quality. We will also have insurance put on each hood so we can all sleep
better at night.

I am not sure what you mean by being delivered on pallets in sets of 5. Will they not be delivered directly to the individual that purchases them? Sorry if it seems like a silly question, but wouldn't it be much more expensive to have them shipped to you, and then have to ship them to individuals once again? Thanks
