you could also get ticketed for bending the bottom of the plate so it cant be seen...that is where the 'tags' are for year and month on registration....

As for bending the bottom of the plate, here in Ontario, Canada our tags are on the back plate and in the top right corner so that's not an issue here.

And to answer the question on the smoked cover yes the cop bugged me about that too but basically said it was up to each cop's descrimination and I think if they are going to pick on me for that they could get me for too dark of windows too but hopefully there are not too many cops that are that jealous of our crossfires.

As for the rest of how I installed it in case anyone still wants to.

I then got the scrap metal pieces and bolted them together to make up a frame that I could bolt up to the existing bolts under the car that hold on the plastic shroud.

I think the basic idea is here but let me know if anyone wants more details.
