Hello,

My driver's side brake light is out. I swapped bulbs, but got pulled over yesterday and it is still out apparently.

I checked the bulb and it's ok. I visually inspected the #2 fuse in the dash and it looks ok.

I did a search on here and found a few threads talking about a relay under the dash connected to the pedal, but before I start trying to order parts I want to make sure that it is possible that the relay or something messed up and that would cause one, not both, brake lights to not light up.

The dealer wants $60 to replace my brake light, drivers side...the light is $10....is it difficult to change or is it something a gal that can't follow directions very easily can do??

 

Much easier to do on a Coupe than it is on a Roadster.

 

so should I pay the $60 ???

 

wow, another dealer said $35 to change.....what a difference....will let them do it....thanks.
