I'm no expert at this sort of thing, my only experience was working in my father's hot rod shop as a teenager, making custom fiberglass bodies, hoods and parts, but in my personal preference would be a length of something like this:

Having the splitters too short risks making the front end of the car look like a catfish's head. Really, before you start production, you should create an official poll on this forum, and see what other users like. That might give you an accurate idea of what other crossfire owners are willing to purchase (many of whom might find your parts on ebay, but don't use this board or other forums).

I just need the other members to speak up. I know many members have seen this thread already but just have not given their opinion... Let me hear it guys... WHAT DO YOU THINK????

I may consider pushing it over about an inch or so to perfectly mirror the lines of the lower grill but I dont think I would take it any further than that... Hopefully you will still be interested in it.. Ill get the design lengthened up and post a pic so you can get a good view of it instead of imagining it

I think it looks good now, if you do make it the length of the headlight, it will still flow nice, it will look more like the C63amg, its lip spoilers are about the length of the headlight.

If I had to choose between this splitter as-is, or a lip, I'd have to go with the lip.

here is a pic of the startech lip they used to make.. Looks very similar to mine. The bottom corners it are even shorter than mine. And I dont think it looks bad at all or like a "catfish's head"

That's a great lip. The splitter pieces don't shoot out towards the front, they kind of just go downwards like the natural lines of the car.

Hypr, do you think if you brought the splitter higher like the lip people would like it more? In other words, see how my spoiler comes up to almost under my fog light? Maybe you can extend the splitter a little up and outward on the sides to mimic the startech spoiler? Great work none the less

To those whom do not like this design:

Please let me know exactly what you do not like.. This way I can fix it. I hope to find a balancing point where everyone can be happy... But you have to speak up

I'm willing to buy it as-is, was just hoping for some minor changes, but I'll take one either way.

heres the updated pics...

I brought it even with the headlight and tapered it a bit so it is wider on the outside and thinner on the inside

Well right now I only have this one side done.. and its still only foam. So i need to shape the other side and then harden them up, make sure they are perfect, and cast the molds.

So I should be ready for production in about a week or so.. I will keep you posted on progress.

Im glad you like the design now

I think the new design is fairly universally appealing. Despite the seeming lack of buyers on this board, you could probably sell quite a few of the, on ebay. I'll be the first to buy once you start production. Let me know when you start taking pre-orders.

Im going to have to do it the same way I did the fender strakes..

I will need 10 paid orders before being able to start production. This is due to the cost of the materials (its cheaper to buy in bulk) and my painter cuts me an amazing deal on batches of 10 or more.

So lets just start a list now of those willing to buy once these are completed...

8.)
9.)

I might buy this... but preper a full front splitter with a functional spoiler opening. Basicaly bigger, better, bolder than the SRT6 bumper.
