Roadster Antenna base gasket ???
You're right not typical. But my sister can do anything. And when my daughter needed car work done we did it together. There's no reason a woman can't do the work. Good for her.
I just ordered this full antenna assembly for about $13. Should be super easy to replace the whole thing from what I just saw in my trunk.

I you type in antenna gaskets on the internet you will get a lot of hits. I purchased a gasket for a VW antenna and it fits great. No glue required and you do not have to remove the antenna. Tape off area surrounding the antenna. Then using a small screwdriver, carefully remove as much of the old gasket as possible. Slide new gasket down antenna and fit in place. You may have to remove some of the rubber on the inner portion of the antenna gasket. My gasket fits perfectly
Not true. Go on the internet and check the antenna gaskets for a VW. I installed the gasket without removing the antenna an it looks like New and no glue was required to keep it in place. Tape off area around antenna, then use a small screwdriver to chip out as much of the old gasket as possible. Slide the new gasket down antenna and fit it in place. You may have to remove some of the rubber on the inner part of the gasket to get a tight fit
