I think it turned out real nice. It does give it a totally different look. Now I must think about it on Blaze red. Thanks for the pics.

James

James, my body shop who painted it was telling me they didnt think it was going to look good. After looking at Boilers and tired of the silver strake look I went for it. After it was painted and installed they couldnt believe how much of a difference it made. I personally think the only way for it to look right is if ur windshield surround and door pieces are painted the same.

Thanks Mike. Yeah, I got tired of the silver windshield surround. I dont think it looks right stock.

Looks great.... My wife's SRT is also Aero-blue, we had the rims powder coated in gun metal now she wants to do all trim in gun metal. On my black Crossfire I have all the trim in chrome I personal like the black and chrome look..

I have to show her how yours came out before we do the trim.

Thanks I appreciate it. I'm looking for some black rims at the moment. I think it will complete the exterior of the car.

I dislike the strakes, I have always thought the car would look better with that area filled in flush. I have always said that if I get a dent there they will be gone.
Has anyone ever done that?
Painted body color they look less obvious and thats a good thing.

I kinda like the 'monochromatic' paint theme on your XFire.

Thanks guys for the comments.

One, I agree I'm not much of a fan with the strakes, but the silver was killing me. I wish they would of made functional vents.

MacLovin, my buddy owns a body shop he charged me $75 for both pieces.

Looks very smart, and agree they should colour coded everything at the factory, would have been cheaper to make that way in the first place,

Just as Henry Ford said any color you want as long as it's silver. You cannot get cheaper than that.

Are those strakes hard to remove? I tried once but was scared if I kept pulling it would snap.
