Default Condensation Headlamp Kit - Changed Headlamp Design?

Hey guys.

In an attempt to get over my utter hatred for winter, I went out to the storage space and installed the Condensation in Headlamp TSB kit. When I took a look at my headlamps, I noticed that the two smaller hose vents that I was supposed to plug with the two small caps, mine weren't there. The notches were there but there were no actual openings. It looks like they just changed the design the cover up the holes, meaning the two large plugs were all that control any actual venting.

Did they change the headlamp design for the later models? I installed the new large plugs and that was all.

The 2006 headlamps were re-designed with the same type of vent the TSB caps have. The "vent" is now integrel with the headlamp housing and the caps are solid rubber, rendering the TSB caps redundant.

That's strange but I had the same vent caps that the older Crossfires had (the new ones had the small rectangle, the ones on the car did not). Interesting... Plus I still had a TON of condensation regardless if they changed the design or not.

Dave, the headlamp at the top of the picture has a manufacture date in 2003, the one at the bottom of the picture has a manufacture date in 2006. The 2003 headlamp has the white vent tube and solid rubber caps, no TSB kit. The 2006 headlamp has been redesigned, no white vent tube but it now has the rectangular vent on the housing that the TSB kit provides with the replacement rubber cap.

Thanks for the pictures! I wonder why mine were still so foggy?
