Default eyebrow lights again?

I got these from superbrights. They have built resistors and diodes to protect against reverse polarity but are they going to set off my light-out idiot light? They dont look to be like the can bus ones

Super Bright LEDs - Miniature Wedge Base Bulbs

I got the one LED wide angle ones

Just to clarify....you're talking about the Parking Lights right? The tiny bulbs in the upper corners of the headlight housing?
If so then...

I have an '05 Base N/A Coupe and replaced my parking light bulbs with the 6 LED 35° Miniature 194 style Wedge Bulbs (In Ultraviolet Light color ) and have had ZERO issues with idiot lights coming on.

That being said...I'm not even sure my car has idiot lights (other than the low fuel light), but you shouldn't have an issue.

Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.

Regards,
Eric

Here are the ones that I have on mine. They are a bit pricy at $25 for a pair, but they look great, and no worries about error codes.

yeah, I was being cheep and trying to go with superbrights as Boilerup (Ithink) told me they are better than the cheeper factorykiss brand; which BTW didnt seem to have them as far as I can tell.

If they do throw a code then I'll just pup them in the map lights...only $7 total for them

yes eyebrow lights. Base coupes dont have the lightbulb out in their dash, mines a limited

LOL, I just live with the light - for now. I have nearly every single bulb inside and out converted to LEDs and it gives the car such a clean look that I can live with a small light on the dash (and it is only on when you have the lights turned on). The other nice thing is whan you have all HIDs and LEDs, you can leave your lights on for extended times (car shows) and not have to worry about draining a battery since they draw so much less than traditional bulbs....

I grabbed mine of a BMW website... I don't know if they work because I can't get my stock bulbs out D:

ordered a pair of 45* and 90* needle nose to see if they help.

Well I got one bulb out and replaced tonight before I lost the sun. Looks great, + no error! The other bulb is like sealed in there. I guess I will try some WD40?

Anyone know of LED fog lights that will match the look? I don't care about light output, HID headlights will cover that. I just want the hyperwhite look.

Sheldon, the fog lights are 9006 bulbs. There are lots of led lights in that application. Ive found that SMDs are superior to old LEDs. SMDs have the little yellow square wafer instead of a bulb and put out intense light.

Try www.Factorykiss.com sure its china and sketchy but their customer service is awsome

Cool I'll check it out, I assume they will need a resistor as well?

Also I finally got both my eyelids in this morning

no resistor needed. any can bus type bulb is error free. the link will take you to their canbus bulbs. you will notice a small square thing on the bulb (resistor?) aside from the SMD.

I got their 36mm festoon canbus lights for my license plate light, heres a pic of the difference between stock and SMD

I find that a pair of angled needle nose pliers works the best. I chewed the little ribs off the piece while carelessly twisting a few times, but if you grip it firmly and do short, 1/4 inch turns, you can get them off pretty easily.
