Default Mesh Grille Installation

Has anyone else had an issue keeping the lower pieces in? I simply cannot get them to stay in for stretches of time. I have tweaked it and tried to make it hold better and it lasted a few months before yet again falling out.

Any tips on making it stay in?

If not are any of the other grilles (not including the stock grille) reliable?

There is a spot where they click into place, no click, no stick.
Pull on them and you'll soon see if they are loose.

I have seen several different aftermarket lower grilles held in using black tie-wraps. Not sure if that is what the instructions call for, or if that is the way it ends up to be secure.

I always thought that was a reflection of their poor design quality. The OEM fit just fine, they just have to be put in correctly.

I have the mesh lowers.... they have two threaded studs that stick through the factory lowers and a small plate and nut go on to hold them.... I have had no issues with mine popping free in the 2+ years they have been on.....

Thank you for the responses. I thought I was able to snap it in there before but I guess it wasn't. I had really given it some strong pushes too and used a screw driver try to jimmy it out to make sure it was secure and it seemed like it was.

I am not sure if it is relevant but I also just changed the exhaust system on it and while it's breaking in it has really vibrated the car when driving. I am wondering if that somehow just vibrated it out because it had been fine for 2 months previously.

Ether way though I think I will try to extend the flat washers that hold it in place and see if I can get a more defined snap. If not I will probably just use a silver twine to hold it in haha. Mainly because if it falls out again I will be buying my 3rd pair of lower grilles haha. Though one of them hasn't fallen out yet its just one side that keeps doing it.
