Nooooooooo... from what others have said, they do not create enough light to be useful as headlights.... Whats wrong with the HID setup Austin?

Cool Re: Major Help On Choosing Bulbs!

Just got iceberg blue HID headlights installed yesterday. Going back to halogens. The car looks pretty cool but the lighting is too blue & too dim for me. Almost like wearing sunglasses at night. Took it down an unlighted twisty road (Lake Herman Rd in Vallejo - creepy, the Zodiac killed a woman there) & really didn't like the HIDs. On another subject, a blue SRT convertible was pulling out of the space next to mine after dinner at Pasta Pomodoro. He said I had good choice in cars. After he drove away my hubby said, "You XF people!"

Hmmm that's strange... Iceberg blue as in 8000k? 35W? You should be seeing much better even at 8000k or even 10000k (not reccomended for lows).

You may be suffering from chronic bad bulb positioning . My old 8000ks were much brighter than the halogens.... you can also buy some 5000k-6000k if you wanna cut out the blue for more of the light.
