Default Part Needed (See Image)

Hi,
I am looking for this part, (see image) NOT the bulb. I am not sure what it is called but it is located in the very front of the car near the headlamp. Thanks.

might as well try to solder the piece that is broken or pushed down in there. I take it the bulb doesn't get contact and the light will not work. I ordered one of these and never received it. The '04 and early '05 models had one kind while they must have switched vendors later in 05 as they are different. Made better in my opinion. Good luck...

Hi,
I don't believe your suggestion will work for me in this instance but I do appreciate it.
BTW - Do you know what the name of the part is?
The part works... "sometimes". I have to take it out and re-lock it into place. Then it appears to work because when I lock or unlock the doors I can see the light flash. However after any type of bump it seems to then lose contact and I have to repeat the steps the steps that I've mentioned. The one on the other side has been working fine so I'm trying to find a replacement.

Not sure if you are showing the 'front position lamp'.... or the 'turn signal lamp'... the position lamp is the one on the far outside, top, of the headlights....the turn signal lamp is mounted between and above the headlights..... I dont find a part number for either of the sockets by themselves in the parts manual...

I can't find that info, it was a long while ago since I tried to order it. It is a bulb socket. There is a flat metal piece that runs down the side to the bottom. It will break at the bend in the bottom. I soldered mine to make a connection again. Sometimes you can pry that piece up in the bottom to make contact if it isn't broken. Best I can do. Chrysler never got it in...they may have them now. Just take the piece into the dealer with you.

I have a part number, I think,
Chrysler #05114287AA, socket front markers and turn signal
It's in the part numbers list.

NO guarantees, but it appears that the S60 Volvo uses the same socket/bulb for the turn signals.
Check this out :

Your Parts Search Returned 1 Part(s)

If you take the $10 + shipping leap, and it works, please let everyone know .......

That's not it, the bulb is about the right color though.

My service manual refers it as a "turn signal bulb housing".

that is what I found Dave. I took mine to the dealer and he ordered one, supposedly...never came in... Meanwhile, I soldered the broken one, and it has held every since...

Thumbs up Re: Part Needed (See Image)

Thanks for the information on models, oledoc and others. Mine is 2004, 129 k miles for my everyday driver. I could not wait to get it. so that narrows the field. and the metal actually broke off when I took it out the third time. Thinking I could just go get a new one, ... oh well. I was told they are backordered, 36 people ahead of me...
so my ride sits with no blinker.

If anyone has a line on one that looks like this, please let me know.
Thanks

Enjoy the Day
