Great Osram Low Beams and Fogs

The bulbs from china had the wattage incorrectly marked and melted right through the foglights and the bulbs burned right through them and rested on the insideof the metal bumber. I will be very cautious.

The fogs are indeed Osram, made in USA.
The H7's are also Osram, made in Germany.
also got 4 amber 'Chrome' turn signal bulbs - they are made in Japan.
All installed, and all working well, time will tell .......
Bulbs I purchased from eBay vendor also arrived today. I have an extra pair of 9006/HB4 OSRAM Niightbreaker Plus bulbs (12v/51w) for the fog lights. I will sell them for $30, including S&H to CONUS locations. PM me if interested.

Technically they are illegal, 55 W is the max under the law.

Received my bulbs today from Mr. Yahawada from Hong Kong - China. These are the REAL DEAL. Genuine Osram H7 Off road use only, in the original packaging and Made in Germany.
I kick myself that I didnt order a spare and a couple for the old girls Lincoln.

Any of the blue-glass "extra white" bulbs are an absolute nonstarter as far as seeing better is concerned. Sylvania Silverstar/Ultra, PIAA, Hoen, BlueVision, CrystalVision, TruView, Nokya, Polarg, etc. -- all a scam. Such bulbs produce significantly less light than even a standard bulb, so we'll start our comparison with standard bulbs.
Osram Silverstar, Narva Rangepower+50, and Philips VisionPlus are all "Plus+50" H7 bulbs. Philips Xtreme Power and Osram Night Breaker are both "Plus+80"/"Plus+90" bulbs. They are, as a class, the best 55w H7s you can buy. But, Osram offers (and I stock) an even better option with higher output and longer life. Here is the comparison (figures at 13.2 volts):
Standard H7:
55w, 1500 lumens, 500 hours
H7 ultra "Plus+50" (any brand):
55w, 1580 lumens, 225 hours
H7 Xtreme "Plus+80" (Philips) or "Plus+90" (Osram):
55w, 1620 lumens, 200 hours
H7 rallye+65 (Osram only):
65w, 2100 lumens, 500 hours, obvious choice.
The extra 10w is of no consequence as far as electrical power or heat --
those 80w to 100w bulbs are a different story, and they produce less light
and have a shorter lifespan than the Osram 65w item.
Philips Ralley 80W H7 bulb
Produces 100 lumens less than the Osram 65w, has a much shorter lifespan, draws more current and produces more heat. Lose/lose/lose/lose deal.

You'll notice that the Rallye +65 are good for 500 hrs; same as standard 55w H7s. Electric and heat are non-issues!

I highly recommend these for those that don't want the hassle of installing HIDs. Once you've changed out the bulbs a couple of times, it gets really easy (small hands). Took me about 10 minutes to do both lens. Very nice improvement on the OEMs without being too bright to cause blinding for oncoming traffic. The illumination does seem a bit whiter. And the price I referred to in the first post is 1/3 the price you'll find anywhere else! Just be patient on the shipping time.
And yes, they are the REAL DEAL.
Edit: One other thing I like is that I'm seeing some reflection off of signs down the road with the low beams that I wasn't seeing before, so there is a definite improvement on light output.

I thought it was the shipper who has the responsibility and liability for getting it to the recipient!

I wish I could find the Osrams locally. My passenger side low beam burned out Tuesday and the only brand I could find anywhere locally was the damned Sylvanias. I've had really bad experience with longevity of the Sylvania Silverstars. Some have lasted as long as a few months and some have failed after a couple of weeks. At $50 per pair, I'm done with those pieces of junk.
I bought a pair of relatively cheap Sylvania Xtravision bulbs for now. I think I'm going to order a Phillips HID setup for the low beams and move the new Xtravision bulbs to the high beam fixtures. More than the whiter light and higher lumen output, what really appeals to me about the HID bulbs is the longevity. They pay for themselves over the life of the car.

$1.80 shipping for either item and 100% positive feedback. 15-20 working day shipping from HK.

No SparkieSRT6, I never did receive my 4 Osram bulbs from Mr Yahawada. I am out the money with nothing to show for it. Both he, EBAY and Paypal were of no help. If you want to buy from him, demand shipping insurance!

The bulbs I received are indeed the "real deal" and the cheapest ($13.00 for 2) that I have found. I'm going to order another set of 2. Just sayin .....
