I ordered these lights for the trunk and they are too small to fit the hole.

My license plate LEDs that I got do fit the hole for the trunk light but do not snap, the plug is different as well of course.

The plug from the trunk light above is not the same as the OEM trunk light.

I think that the plate light could be made to hold in place and I could fit a new plug fitted to the OEM wiring.
It does not look out of place as it has a black rim around the light.

Thanks for doing the legwork on all the different options. Back on the hunt then, may just have to find a led bulb setup that may fit in the OG housing

I have your answer for that right here: LUMEN® - Chrysler Crossfire 2004 Interior LED Bulbs

That's the route I'm gonna go as well, for both the trunk light and dome light.

Let us know how they end up performing. If no bulb out indicator as advertised, I'll purchase same.

I didn't know there were two styles of dome lights ....
I have the roadster and my bulbs are the same as the side marker and eyebrow bulbs.
I have 5LED CANBUS in all of them, and no error light ......
( The dome lights even dim down to go out like they should )

That's good news...have you had them long? Other forum members have reported that CanBus LED's run hot (risking lens distortion from the heat) and are also known to not last long...
What was your source? TIA

I have had no issues ( yet ).
I have had them in for about 2 months.
I got them from China via fleabay, $12.50 for 10 of them including shipping, so
all I have to do is monitor the lenses for heat distortion.

I used 8 of the 10 : 4 in sidemarkers, 2 in dome, 2 in eybrow lights.
I have 2 spares, which I also checked to make sure they work.

Dear alaxfire,
We have received USD 12.50 for the following item.
eBay item number:221159286942
Item title: 10x OBC Error Free CANBUS Lamp T10 5 SMD LED White light bulbs for 2825,2821,w5w
We will send out your item to the following address within 24 hours. In general the shipping time will be appro 15 to 30 business days. Please wait patiently. Thanks
Still listed :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221159286942...942%26_rdc%3D1

but they upped the shipping to $2

That's good to hear! Time will tell...
I run 55w Halogen backup bulbs in all my vehicles which for some strange reason were taken off the market here in Ontario, Canada. Mechanics were warning owners to not install them because the extra heat would distort the plastic lenses. I was telling a colleague who was very interested. He tows a boat and quite often is loading in/out when dark...but ignored my praises and listened to his mechanic who said "don't do it". I told him that "yea, if you leave the gear in reverse for say 10 minutes then you may have an issue, but who does that?"...

Hmm.. call me silly.. but seems I've read interior lights aren't monitored by the system.. so they all would be error free..

Since you already have them in the side markers, can you post a couple pics of them at night? I'm about to get mine too, just wanted to see the difference from the regular bulbs

Also my bad, posted the wrong bulb type with that link. They have the LED equivalent of the side markers and interior lights on that site too

Hey George, I just bought these ( 10x T10 194 168 W5W 5050 5 LED SMD Canbus Error Free White Car Light Lamp Bulb | eBay )! I was easily cross referencing the ones you bought and these came right up in the first page (price + shipping lowest first). I checked the listing and they seem to be a direct copy of much of the info in yours. I asked a couple of questions and the seller responded quite quickly (they are like that in their lifestyles, real quick and courteous) and the last response they said they are new not rejects/refurbs/repaired. So, if they are direct copies and all working, then saving about 5 bucks works for me!

Excellent info. Where did you get the correct plug to retro fit the license plate LED light?

I have not got it yet, it is the same plug as the license plate lights naturally.
If I am stuck I will use the 3/16" female spade type terminals, covered in heat shrink tube they will be just fine.

I have finally finished this project, and post #1 has been updated.
It is really bright in the trunk now, one light is probably good enough.

Great write up. I ordered another set of these after the license plate upgrade and installed one to replace the OEM one. I had a hard time with the spring clip so I trimmed the inner lip on the plastic spring clip and pryed it open a little further to help install it. It does fit like a glove and man what a difference, one is all I need. Thanks.
