I've been looking for yellow Duplicolor Metalcast paint in vain up here in the land of the Frozen North so I can paint my fogs yellow. I just got a polite response from Duplicolor informing me that Metalcast is no longer available in Canada
Anybody south of the border know of somewhere to grab a can and help a guy out?

Bummer. Canada customs must hate paint :

I got a similar result from another US on-line retailer - they let you get all the way to a PayPal checkout & then let you down.
I don't get it - it's not like it's a prime ingredient for a bomb recipe, though I suppose there may be some concerns shipping pressurized containers.

 

Good news: You can buy it off Amazon. Bad news: Shipping is $27.00

I definitely think its because there needs to be special packaging/regulations etc

 

Thanks guys. I've got a local retailer - art supply store - looking into ordering Krylon Stained Glass spray for me, and there is a brushable paint available too.
Is there anybody nearby in the US planning on a visit to Canada anytime soon that would be willing to bring a can or two of Metalcast over for me?

 

Yep, some couriers don't like transporting chemicals/paints/fluids...
That said, I just received two cans of CD-2 Engine Detailer last week via UPS...go figure.

 

Actually, I have a friend in Hamilton that is going to a Jeep rally in Pennsylvania in a few weeks and she said she'd be willing to bring some back over the border for you if you can wait
