FEELER: SRT-6.com groupbuy ViS Racing carbon fiber hood for $500-$650 USD
Yes they will be recessed. Like the C63 amg black series.
That is the design right now. we are looking into practicality, functionality and design. Personally I like that one a lot.
Well everyone wants something so I am going to take all suggestions. Right now it is looking like the design in the first post. May be changed due to functionality, imporvement etc.
Front vents should be moved outward one set of lines, that way we can run our intake tube's to them. We could use fatter tube's since we wouldn't need to pull air from in front of the radiator.
How do you plan on opening your hood if your tubes are running to the vents? also keep in mind that the vents are for air to escape not to catch air, this serves two purposes. 1st it allows air to flow through the radiator at an increased velocity and out the hood, this helps eliminate the air from flowing under the hood and out the bottom. 2nd helps eliminate lift created by the air traveling down and under the car in turn forcing more air over the car and helping with downforce.

It would be the same basic idea as those intake filter boxes that seal with weatherstripping when you shut the hood. I have friends that have cobb intake's that are designed like this. They have cone filters but the box around it seals with the hood.
What you said makes perfect sense. So what about same idea but on the back vents. Have you looked at the STi's top mount intercooler much? Maybe filter box's right under 2 of the 4 back vents open on top that seals against the hood with weather stripping. Those feed into a Y-pipe that goes straight to the TB.
Hey Phil. I was looking at all the designs. IF that price is realistic, you could add me as interested. IF the design is something I really like along with the price, then you can count me in big time. I am concentrating of another project right now, but I wouldn't want to miss out on a great hood design...
I'm in for the 1st pic design on FB if it is efficiently functional and closer to the $500 end. Plus, how much is shipping on something like this???
My design input...how about adding 2 clear plastic windows to the 1st design on top of our intake manifolds where it says SRT6? That would be sick
I'm traveling right now and internet is unstable so I haven't studied the designs, but I'm interested. My "wants" are decent looks, a functional design that vents engine heat effectively and is light. Shipping is a concern and truthfully is the major reason I don't have the Madmax fiberglass hood. Give me an idea how much it would cost to ship an unbroken/damaged hood to 00979. (Puerto Rico)

I think this is a design which is very functional aswell and it looks good. I even think someone has done it before.

also, regarding shipping, I have no clue. it is out of california. as said, I have no handleing the money nor shipping. all goes out from ViS racing. We just need to find the design, and then he will take a look at our srt-6 that will go there locally. after getting mold they will start making these beauties. after 1 produced we will check everything, fitting deisgn etc. We do not want to spend cash in vain,.
