Unhappy Brake Light Challenge

My brake light was burned out on my 2005 Roadster. I followed forum suggestions on accessing the socket by raising my top. I grabbed the socket and as I did, the light bulb fell into the lamp area. I could grab the light bulb with my finger but could not get it out through that tiny hole. I gave up and left it there and replaced the new bulb which works perfectly. But now I have an unwelcomed bulb bounding around inside the light. Any suggestions on how to get that little #*!#&! out?

There are 3 10mm nuts securing each tail light assembly to the body, easily accessible via the same means you used for changing the bulb.
just don't drop the nuts, you will never find them !
( use a magnet when they are close to coming off )

I keep some of that really thin/stretchy double sided tape around. Wrap it around a tool or a finger and it's handy for picking up the non-ferrous stuff. It's also good for sticking on the end of screwdrivers to hold screws while trying to get them in place.

These are great suggestions. I'll try the sticky tape first before taking the assembly apart. Thanks!!

Just wanted to let you know that the sticky tape at the end of a small screw driver did the trick. The bulb stuck to it and came right out.
