Crossfire fiberglass rear diffusers made in Germany / Possible group buy
EDITED 10-27-14 This group buy is closed. Product orders can be placed directly with Stephan in Germany. See post #13 on this thread for complete details . . .
So following up on member SYFIs posts in the FUBU thread . . . With the assistance of Google Translate I e-mailed Stephan over in Germany. He is the person who spearheaded a group buy for these fiberglass Crossfire diffusers manufactured in Germany (see copies of SYFIs posts below). These are NOT the ill-fitting fiberglass knock offs we've seen available on E-Bay. These are precision made fiberglass diffusers that fit perfectly and mount securely like the original Chrysler accessory diffusers.
If I order 20 sets I can get them delivered to me for $4,900.00 which comes out to $245 per set. I am willing to redistribute them to forum buyers in the USA at $250.00 + $20.00 shipping + $10.80 (4% to cover the PayPal fees) = $280.80 per set. While I hesitate to jump into this frying pan I want two sets for myself so I'm willing to coordinate a group buy on these.
Post on this thread if you want to get a set of these and if we get a total of 20 firm buyers, I'll collect the money from everyone, make the purchase from Germany and (re) distribute them when they arrive here. Post here if you want a set and I'll update the group buy on post #2 of this thread.

Just to throw a wrench into the buy...
Was rummaging through the German XFire forum and found that they have a group buy going on for fiberglass repos. They just made their first deliveries recently. Price looks to be 200eu.

I saw those aswell, look very nice. I would go for a pair from this or the ebay one if you need fg ones.
As a side note, the new chicago lambo fg manufacturer, have said fg will be about 150 usd and cf ones for 300 usd.
But it may well never lift off so I would go for the ones above and wrap if cf is needed.

I really think these will paint up better than the originals. But I am saving up for the ground control kit, so I will pass and just keep my stock ones for now. If not for that, I would sell mine and buy these. I like their looks better.
Note in post #1 (which I have now edited to be in bold) These are NOT the ill-fitting fiberglass knock offs we've seen available on E-Bay. I've added you to the buyer list . . . THANKS

Some additional information . . . I received this e-mail from Stephan in response to a couple of questions I had for him . . . (Not edited for clarity because I didn't want to alter his e-mail content. You'll get the message)
Hi Bob,
I know the US Diffusors. There not fine, and with Shipping and Tax to much expensive in this Quality.
This is the Reason why i build my own Version. (I own 3 Crossfires maybee in next Time 4 [IMG]aoladp://MA36522-0001/wlEmoticon-winkingsmile[1].png[/IMG])
I want a Diffusor that looks Like the stock Mopar Diffusor. Also the grained surface.
I do the outer mold from a New stock Mopar Diffusor.
The first Set looks very good, but do not fit Perfekt.
Then i do a secont mold with the help from a cut out assembly area out of a stock rear Bumper.
This is the Reason why they fit Perfektly.
I use black Gelcoat also the Diffusors yet paint in flat black. They look perfekt stock.
I'm currently working with Stephan to get update pricing information on being able to place individual orders with him and getting the diffusers shipped directly to our buyers in the USA or CANADA. I'm doing this because in answer to a follow up question I discovered that shipping 20 sets directly to me was quoted as a BULK shipment (sets not individually packaged) so upon receipt I would have to repackage everything to ship them to buyers. Accordingly, there may be a minor adjustment in the pricing of post #1 but you will receive your order / product shipped directly from Germany.
Also, I have joined the German Crossfire website but have not yet been "approved" to access everything there. These are a couple of posts that I could immediately access and here are some comments from Crossfire owners that have already received these German made rear diffuser kits (translated from the German Crossfire website page by Google Translate). I will update this thread with more information and photos as soon as I get "approved"
. . . I hope they don't run a complete background check on me . . .
Hi Stephen,
mine are also arrived and look great.
If they fit the way they look, you can not complain. You will definitely see better than the fiberglass replicas of the US, which I definitely can say.
Thank you again!
VG

Hi Stephen,
I also am the proud owner.
What amazed me is the perfect fit and the quality, just hammer. I can only recommend. The cultivation is simple, holes, drill, assemble.
Thank you.
Greeting from Switzerland

OK - I have an agreement with Stephan that will allow anyone wanting his Crossfire rear diffusers to order directly from him and he will ship them directly to you . . .
Here are the instructions in his e-mail to me (Remember that English is not his primary language but I think you'll understand) . . .
Shure, i can ship individual orders. 1 Diffusor Kit 190.- Euro / Shipping 40.- (up to 4 Kits) Euro / Paypall Fees 10.- Euro for one kit = together 240.- Euro converted approximately (exchange rate) 300.- USD excl. US Tax
A Email with the Delivery Adress and the Payment to info@stenzel-parts.de where all what the Buyer must do.
Accordingly, send an e-mail to Stephan at info@stenzel-parts.de and ask him to send you a PayPal invoice for one or more sets. If you're ordering one set you can expect a PayPal invoice for $240 euros which converts to approximately $300.00 (can vary slightly depending on the daily currency exchange rate).
I have already ordered the two sets that I wanted. I have edited post #1 and I am discontinuing the group buy. Those who want to order these can do so directly from Stephan . . .

Stephan says he can make as many as we want for as long as he keeps getting orders but he can only produce one pair per day. As of right now he has some inventory on hand ready for immediate shipment.
Please keep us posted when you receive the 1st sets and let us know how the fit and finish is please?
To all
Just received a reply from Stephan on my order.
I waited too long and he is currently sold out and is doing backorders.
He will not invoice me til my set is ready to ship.
Seems a very above board person.
Red Dog's are on the way.
Thanks again Red Dog.
