Folks, as you know, I've been making these for some time, but I've found the info we're after:

Saab 5400007 headlight clip for those looking...Google it.

I can still make them, but this might be easier for some.

 

Thanks Max, now all that is left is for you to find is a reliable source for those pesky turn signal bulb holders.

 

The holders aren't the issue-it's the socket/headlight assembly, ain't it? The contacts burn out?

The MB's that use these suckers all have this issue. Re-bend (gently) and conductive grease.

 

Aaaaand: it looks like that twist-in socket is available with flying leads. One could merely solder them into the main headlamp housing wiring harness. N'est-ce pas?

 

Yes, I did see those, however for the electrically challenged a straight replacement would be nice.
The "flying leads" would however alleviate the socket to headlight connection problems.

Where did you find those ?

Unless I am mistaken, those WILL NOT work with 7507. I have been reading up on 7507 bulbs, looking for red one, and the pins are offset 150 degrees, not 180 like every other bulb out there. I do not like yellow lights on the back of a car, and this is the first car in 30 years for me with them. I plan to remove the yellow and paint them red, or get red motorcycle bulbs, possibly solder them into 7507 bases. Maybe even the chrome red bulbs, they look nice, but nothing is available in 7507 socket that I could find.
Or get 1156 type bulbs and grind off 1 post.

 

I said I had more investigation to do...sheesh!

If you are referring to my post, no offense meant. Just trying to get quick word out incase someone ordered them and they don't work.
As for the stealth bulbs, I really like that idea, that is what I was referring to when I said "chrome bulbs". I think I saw some in red, that would be the best. Anyway, probably should be a separate thread. As for the clips the thread is about, do they fail at any time, or just when trying to replace bulbs?

 

I'm a newbie here and had to find a pass. side turn signal socket that was missing on my car when I bought it. I found a Crossfire owner that sold me both when his car was totaled. Now feel free to correct me here but aren't the left and right side different from each other and will only plug in on their correct side? If this is true the ones on eBay look the same and only work on one side.

 

Thanks for the post on the clips...I have the pass. missing there also. Now if I can only figure out how to remove the headlight???
