Default Windshields and Radar Detectors

Anyone know if the Crossfires have a metal film laminated in it that would block a radar detector? I have a detector that's performing poorly and want to be sure it's not the windshield causing it before I send it back

I came across this which list some cars that have the metal oxide windshields. https://www.sunpass.com/specialWindshields

I'm quite sure we have no such film in our windshields
Many here have had radar detectors inside their Crossfires and over my 9 years on this forum I dont believe it has ever been said to be a problem

Been using a radar detector for a few years now (will not get into why, errrr, don't ask) with awesomely excellent results. Mounted in the rearview mirror mount (post for the install somewhere here in forum) so no-one will harass me about attaching anything on the windshield (some locals have ordinances about attaching suction cup accessories). Fear not, the detector will work as designed (if you get one that works right).

I just wanted to confirm that.

My detector ain't detecting like it should so it's getting shipped back under a warranty claim.

I really don't use my detector to speed, just more of a CYA.

Get a refund and consider a Passport 9500ix. I have one and it works great.

That's unusual. Valentine 1 is top of the line. Its creator is the same guy that founded Passport (then called Cincinnati Microwave). Both companies are headquartered here locally.
