Default screwy park lights

sometimes when I turn off my lights, one or the other side of the park lights stays on. it ran the batt down once when I didnt notice it. all I have to do is turn the lights on and back off and they go out, is this a comman problem? Or is my 06 limited roadster just special. I just am curious if its the switch or something like a relay. Thanks.

Turning the switch left from the middle position will select parking lights one click one side, two clicks the opposite side.
I think you are going past the middle OFF position, that has happened many times before.
