Default Trunk Light - tilt switch?

Today I upgraded most of the lights in my SRT6 to LED
One aspect which had me a little concerned was the trunk light.
What controls it?
The manual does show how this light is controlled.
After leaving my phone in the trunk with the video running on the phone I could watch the trunk light switch off and back on.
So I assume there is a tilt switch in the trunk lid?
It would been handy if there was a kill switch for this light for the occasions when the boot is open for a period and light is not required.

You should get an idea if it is a tilt switch or not if you study exactly when the light comes on, if it comes on immediately the trunk is unlocked it will be part of the locking security circuit. If it comes on when the trunk lid is raised quite a bit then it could be a tilt switch.
