Go after the "shop" and demand compensation for the missing windshield frame piece. BTW, you didn't mention whether you have a coupe or roadster, since that part is different those models.

The coupe's top windshield part has 2 rubber strips, one at the top, since it rests against the actual roof line and one at the windshield. This rubber prevents rattles and most importantly any water seepage between the trim and the roofline. The roadster model only has one rubber strip, against the windshield.

Getting blown off by body shop considering small claims court. Will need to pay a high eBay price and find an other body shop to prove damages. Frustrating.

I am putting the cart before the horse but when you get the part put it on securely. The test that it’s on tight by trying to pry it off. Otherwise you’ll have no one to blame but yourself.
