Default bulb numbers

I just got an 05 Roadster. One of the dome/courtesy lights bulbs is out as well as the glove box and trunk light. I looked in the owner's manual and it doesn't give any replacement sizes just "contact your dealer". Can anyone tell me which bulbs these take and how to open it up to change the bulbs. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. It’s a great car to own and drive.

lightbulbs
Lots of information on types of bulbs required for the XF has been posted online and in this forum
Have you attempted to search Bing, Google and this forum?

Best to do a little digging, educate yourself then circle back around for confirmation on material you’ve read. There have been a few changes to the bulb numbers in 18 years.

in addition, there are lots of how to videos on YouTube
knowledge is power.

I converted the lights you mentioned to LED's. The stock lamps are the incandescent type. Once you have identified the lamp size which is based on the type of socket it plugs into you can then order an equivalent LED replacement. I buy my lamps from superbrightLEDS.com. If you have questions about the lamps they offer you can call or email them. As most of the members on this forum will tell you do not go to a Chrysler dealer looking for any assistance. Your xfire is a German made vehicle produced by Mercedes and Karman in Germany. You can cross reference mechanical part numbers with the MB SLK320 and the forum.
Use this forum as you have for any questions or assistance with how to solve a problem. There are a few items that should be replaced as preventative measures against engine starting failures. These are all DIY items for the most part unless you are not mechanically inclined. If you need to have work performed on your xfire I recommend you use a local foreign car repair shop in your area that is familiar with MB cars. There are online instructional videos for these replacements. The most commonly replaced items are the cam position sensor, engine crank position sensor, relay control module (RCM), and removal of the ignition key switch interlock pin.
Enjoy your Xfire.

Hello and welcome! Congrats to your acquisition of your first Crossfire. I second the help already offered and also suggest you find the document collection here in the forum for all the free help and guidance accumulated through the years by the dedicated membership. All the .pdf help tutorials and even the owner's manual & service manuals are available for download just for the fact you joined as a member. Good luck with your Crossfire!
