Crossfire aero kit, grill, double DIN kit updates.
ome parts I've been working on. The aero kit will include front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear wing in large or small sizes, new grill and side strake enhancements. I'm also working on a double DIN kit by popular demand. I'll update when I can but most updates are also on the Crossfire Forum on Facebook.
The grill has a factory mounting system and fits almost perfectly. Making adjustments to size and printing the hopefully last prototype over the next couple of days. The entire endeavor was to create something that I believe would be done by the factory for the ultimate version of this car. Everything is within the art deco style of the Crossfire.
Complete stock mounting system! Double DIN kit being scanned.

I have a couple of questions. I don't know much about 3-D printing but would it be possible to print the convertible top tool for roadsters? If it is possible, would it be strong enough to do the same job as the original?

Why bother with a cheap item like this wrench? You can buy one for less that a printed one would cost and it comes with the 6mm key.

I have no idea what it costs to print anything. I already have a 10mm wrench and 6mm allen wrench. I would like to have the original style wrench but they're hard to find and very expensive. Also a printed wrench most likely won't scratch the car.
I thought I would ask. As my Drill Instructor once said "The only stupid question, is one that's never asked".

I would use my separate 6mm Allen wrench for the trunk latch, not the printed one.
It's funny how everyone else except the author of the thread has responded to my question. I was hoping that the person who would know the answer would reply.

Yes, it's totally possible. You can make a hard top (removable) for the convertible. Just FYI there have been people that have made entire bodies for super cars from 3D printing. But the wrench I'm not sure would be the best item to rely on. 3D prints are super strong but not sure what the torque on that part is.
Re: Crossfire aero kit, grill, double DIN kit updates.
Final front grill prototype and it came out perfect! Fits like factory. The seam you see in the middle will have a stainless steel insert like many Bentley grills. It will add a touch of dimension and detail and class. I'll have more pics when that is mounted. FYI, the center spine is the center spine from the stock grill. 😁
So side strake covers, front grill, rear spoiler, large rear spoiler now complete.
Left to finalize in the next couple of weeks
1. Double DIN set
2. Rear diffusor and bumper spats
3. Wheel arch flares
4. Front chin spoiler
5. Side skirts (2 styles)

I was just curious about the wrench, thanks for the reply.
Excellent work by the way!
