Default Front Fender Bolt Measurement

Hello,

I'm working on a 2004 coupe with minor front end damage. I have all of the bent parts removed (Core Support only) but I'm having a problem with fender gap alignment. I'm not sure what is causing the problem ... so can someone please measure the distance between the center of the bolt head on the right and left fender bolts, just the 3rd and 4th bolts securing the fender to the body?

Thank you
Brian

I have a 2006 roadster. When I go out to the garage tomorrow I'll measure the distance. It should be the same.

not trying to high jack thread. Those measurements aren't all that easy to take as the coolant reservoir tank, oil pour in port, heat shields and computer box all are higher than the fenders and thus make the measuring a bit longer than it would be if a truly straight line. Non the less, on my 2005 coupe I measures 53 3/8 inch forward and 54 1/16 inch on the rear bolt center to center you indicated.

The gape between fender and hood again is a bit hard to measure as the gap is created by a radius between the two pieces. General I see it as 3/16 inch but it gets a bit narrower in the front near the headlights.

Hope that helps and a comparison with what M60ADriver measures will give you a good reference.

Many Thanks Zip439, looking at it again this morning I noticed a few things in the way and preventing a straight-line measurement but what you sent was helpful. I'll see what M69A3Driver measures for a comparison.

Many Thanks for the effort and information!!

OK, so what I have is very close to Zip439's measurements:
I have 53-1/2" on forward bolt & 54" on the center bolt. Measured with engine cover in place. Hood gap was about the same as Zip's.

Many thanks to both of you for your efforts and information. It was exactly what I needed and I was able to tweak the fender and body mounting points to achieve the proper gap. Problem solved!!

Many Thanks!!
Brian
