I'm planning on doing some paint touch-ups on my Crossfire this summer.
So the question is, is there a simple way to remove that long strip on the roof?
Yes it can be removed. They are aluminum so be careful. I actually bought new ones several years ago already painted. Not sure if they are still available.
Click on the link below, it was discussed here years ago.
@chriscat32 Many thanks for the link to the offer
I was looking on eBay, but I couldn't find any new ones.
Did you buy two identical right moldings for your car?
Or did you buy a different molding for the right side of the roof and another for the left side? Is there any difference?

Since these offers lack a detailed description, I will contact the store directly with any questions about the differences.
I noticed the price were way different on the left and right. I bought left and right, mine were painted black and matched . Why don't you give Rob at Needswings a call (1-586-531-1413). He might be able to supply them or at least let you know if they are the same.
It's easier for me to write/read than to speak in a foreign language.
It's a more reliable way of communicating, more understandable.
I've emailed Rob about this and am waiting for his reply.

Do I understand correctly that you ordered them from a store and the store immediately painted them the right color?
Or did you buy them "raw" and only after receiving them did you commission a workshop to paint them?

They came from the factory painted. You could order them in different Crossfire colors.
@NeedsWings Thank you Rob for your reply and checking the availability of these strips.
But how does this relate to what chriscat32 pointed out - in the MyMoparParts store these strips are normally on offer.
However, when I wrote them an email asking about these strips a few days ago, I have not received any response to this day...

that is probably a good indication that they
a. are not a company you want to deal with
b. do not have the part in stock, are unable to get the part in stock as it is discontinued.
