Default Roof Strips

Has anyone taken off their roof strips for painting and if so, what did you use?

I remember some one did. It may have been Rob at Needswings. Good luck.

I just did this. The roof strips are seated in rubber and lift right out. I started at the rear, pried up with a small screwdriver under the rubber and lifted carefully. When it was out I noticed it could just as easily been lifted out starting at the front. If you have your windshield surround off you can see little tabs at the front of the roof strip. Pry up under that, work your way back and be carefull not to bend the strip. There is a small piece of double-sided mounting tape about an inch forward of the back end of the strip. It's only about an inch long.
