trunk lighting

Default trunk lighting

never mine just realized what they are.


how do the tow lights located on the bottom edge of the trunk lid turn on?
i just noticed mine and they do not seem to work.

those are license plate illumination lights. they go on when your headlights are on.

For us that have the roadster, are there any lights in the trunk? I thought there was, but can't find any?

Yes there is a light on the right side inside the trunk along the back wall. I actually had to disconnect it one night when something spilled in the trunk and I had a leave it open to dry out. I didn't want the battery to go dead so I just unplugged it.

i'm pretty sure the dome lights (and trunk light) go out after a door (or trunk) is open for 15 minutes. just FYI --

I had mine open for over an hour when I was letting it dry and it stayed on that is why I disconnected it.

Maybe there's a software setting that can be tweaked like the timing for the exterior lights. It might be worth asking the dealer about...

How about the under the hood? Is there a light there for you to see the engine bay at night?
