Question Any interest in the FIFA soccer world cup?

hello over there!

is anyone interested in the ongoing fifa soccer world cup here in Germany? the US-team did quite well yesterday, they made a 1:1 against Italy, which is one of the better teams, as you might know. so, is there any interest in the USA in this event or are football, baseball and NASCAR so much stronger that they beat this European true cult sport-game?

here, lots of people are driving around with German, Polish and English flags (a lot of Polish people live here and also a lot of British soldiers are still remaining) on their cars (I even saw a SSB crossfire roadster with a German flag), having huge parties under a sunny sky with up to 200,000 people, drinking a lot beer and paying tribute to "their" team. absolutely crazy.

well, to save the honor of all polish people, I have to mention that LUKAS PODOLSKI and MIROSLAV KLOSE (the real goal-getters beside Michael Ballack) from the German team are both "polish"! they were born in Poland and speak perfect Polish. So it is okay ...

oh man, this hurts so much ... so, no more pizza and pasta in the future!
ok, just kidding.
the italians played slightly better all the game but the two goals at the end of the match were so cruel for us, because we also had some nice chances.
let's hope France kicks the Italians out ...

Ahhh!! Who won?? ITALIA!!! Woo Woo!! Well, those last few minutes in regulation looked like France was going to win, Italy seemed to have lost it's offense. Nevertheless, it was a good game!

That head butt was really rude. Nevertheless, I just saw a quick replay of that incident...can anyone find a video on that online because I would like to see it again.

I'm sure one will show up on youtube.com soon enough. That was stupid of Z to do that, but I'm wondering if there wasn't a little more to this than just words. Regardless, congrats to the Italian team, they survived their scandal (not the WC team's scandal for those not in the know).

this unnecessary action from zidane looked more like a bad kickbox or K1 fight than a fair football-match. he should have known better.... the french team might have missed him while the penalty-shoot out! so it is a bit fair that Italy won in the end, even first I was for the French for obvious reasons.
