has anyone seen what these playstations are going for on ebay?! its NUTS!

i just recently got a 360 a month or so ago, and was remembering the craze for them last christmas when they first got released. apparently the PS3s are going to be even more rare.

 

That is just nuts...I've had my 360 almost a year now when the first came out and it wasn't through Ebay. Can't believe some people would actually pay more of what it is worth...oh well, hey do you play any xbox live...is so what is you gamertag ?...my friends list is pretty low...also my gamer tag is : gonzo77.

 

It's called 'fanaticism'. I'm sure nobody here would know anything about that.

I will never pay more than retail for one of those things. Matter of fact I waited until I found a good rebate on a 360 to buy one. Plus the games I wanted were on sale too.

 

Gotta love it, I sat out last year for 360. Paid $400, flipped it on ebay for $900. Then bought 360 when the second wave hit the market. Basically got it for free. Or you can look at it this way. I sat outside for 13 hours, and made $500. Made almost $40 an hour tax free. Or... a monthly payment and gas for a month for the Crossfire. Thank you Microsoft, and come Nov 17th. thank you Sony.

 

I pre-ordered the x-box 360 6 months in advance so I got it on the evening of launch... didn't sell it though... kept it. (although considering they were going for ~ $2,000+ -- I probably should have)...

 

There were a lot of problems with the 360 pre-sell. Not sure if places oversold, or were shorted from Microsoft, but a lot of people complained that they did a pre-sell and some didn't get theirs for a month after release. Looks like the profit margin for ps3 is even greater than the 360. Average pre-sell is $1,500 - $1,700. Some hitting $2,000. I'm guessing at release they will drop to around $1,300 on average. I'm hoping to pull in around $1,400 - $1,500 though. Unlike most sellers that are just starting with low feedback I'm a powerseller on ebay with lots of feedback, which is a huge plus and hopefully will get me more bidders. I'm trying to get some other people to sit out with me, so I can get more than one system.
