Default What are high school reunions like?

My 30th is tonight. A commitment which was to prevent my attendance looks like it'll fall through. Do I want to pay seventy clams to see what the people I haven't stayed in touch with look like at age 47, or will it just depress me?

My 30th was a great experience. It's nice to see people you haven't seen in so many year, so there's so much to chat about. I know I reestablished relationships, and made new ones with folks I didn't associate with while in HS, but now you may have some things in common. We get together every 3 to 6 months for dinner, or other events. I enjoy their friendship very much. $70 is not a whole lot of money you're putting at risk. I think you will enjoy it tremendously.

Go for it.

My 10th was last summer - I didn't go.
The people I gave a $#%^ about, I still keep in touch with.
Had no interest in seeing anyone else, but that's just me.

Dobro, I guess it all depends upon how well ya got along with your classmates back in the day.
I had some great memories of high school, and graduated with a relatively small class (84 students, small town) so everybody, pretty much knew everybody else.
I've been to 3 class reunions and had a real good time at all 3.
It's kind of funny how the girl voted "Best Looking" still is, and the guy voted "Best Looking" is follicley challenged.

My 10 year reunion was pretty good.
My 20 year reunion was great!
My 30 year reunion had a pretty small turnout.

One thing I noticed, especially at the 20 year reunion was that many of the less attractive girls from high school looked MUCH better with age. And a few of the hot chicks didn't look so hot anymore. And most of the guys had lost a lot of hair.

Went to 10th and 25th. 35th is coming up in August. I remember at 25th a couple of guys asking me if I dyed my hair. I thought it was kind of a strange question, till I looked around and the few who still were not folically challenged had mainly grey hair.

I might go, but I'd have to go back to Toledo. I guess I could stop in Detroit and go to MGM for a night or go to Cedar Point for a day.

I agree that those ladies who had IT, still have IT. Those that didn't... well you all understand. I did have a good time at both of mine. Went to my wife's tenth and was bored out of my mind.
