Default Canyon Run - My Turn!

I took a bit of time off yesterday to make a run up Glendora Mountain Road and finally play with my Motorsports Hero mini video camera. Thought I'd share a few pictures and my first attempt at video editing, so if you're interested have a look HERE

There are two sizes of the same video, both in WMV format. Like I said, this was my first attempt at this - hell, I'd just downloaded a bootleg version of some editing software when I got home!!

For more on the Motorsports Hero camera check with our very own SRT SIX and/or see THIS thread

I love it !! What a beautiful day for a road trip. I really enjoyed the rear views and the sound of the car running through the gears. Great job!!

Awesome! Great job.

If they had a road like that on Long Island, I would probably lose my job by driving it constantly instead of showing up at work!

Great work! Very nice job and drive. I wish we had roads like that in Florida...

Great vids. Think I'll wander up there tomorrow morning. Did you get a chance to drive the ridge? Curious about ice on the road.

My plan was to drive up GMR and then take the ridge to Mt Baldy and down through the tunnels, but the road is closed at the top of GMR. You can take the very tight side of GMR back down to East Fork and return via HWY 39 though, which is also a very nice run. HWY 39 is closed just above East Fork though.

If you're going on a Sunday morning be aware that many bicyclists use this road for training. I encountered half a dozen in the middle of the week but weekends will definitely have more. As a former competitve cyclist I urge caution here!!

I live in Trabuco Canyon down in South Orange County - lived in Glendora briefly in the mid '90s though and used to cycle there all the time. Bicycle, not motorcycle, by the way. My fave loop was over to HWY 39, up to East Fork and up the back side of GMR, then take Glendora Ridge up to Mt. Baldy Village and down Mt. Baldy Road. While that was great fun on a bicycle, it's much less tiring in a Crossfire!!! I'd love to do another run up there but I've been so dang busy with work the last several months. Hopefully some day soon........

Did you notice that I started this thread just over 3 years ago???? But, yeah, the video was shot in February of 2008, so that's pretty typical weather for us.

Enjoyed the vid Mike, thanks for sharing. You would be right at home on the Dragon and other fun runs in the NC, TN mountains.
