Default How many threads do we need on one topic!!!

So...I log on today and half of todays threads are "(somewhere) where are you?" WTF???

I didn't know that the forum has turned into people's personal billboard? Here's a thought...IF PEOPLE WANT TO ATTEND THEY'LL FIND THE THREAD AND TELL YOU!

I'd like to see more people at the Woodward dream cruise...maybe I'll start posting 10 threads trying to get people to sign up?

Sorry for the ranting...it's just getting rather annoying!

Apparently someone here is the equivalent of a telemarketer or spammer!

I agree with apkano. I always thought this board was about more than just G-T-Gs. Networking and social sites are great, but it seems to me that a specialty automotive site should be more about the car itself, with related information on G-T-Gs for interested members in an appropriately limited subsection, IMHO.

Can someone please tell me how to make a post without replying to a post? I seem to be riding the short bus. I have looked and don't see anything to make a new post?

In the upper right hand corner of the page, click "FORUM." When that page opens, just click the appropriate red section. And when that page opens, there should be a gray button in the upper left labeled "New Thread." Good luck.

I apologize to you all!
I was just trying to reach infrequent visiting Members, who only check into their "location thread site."
I'll back off, I'm sorry, I was trying too hard, I guess.
It won't happen again!
SilverFox

BTW, All the Additional Threads started or added to today were in G-T-G areas & Not on the Main Board! Thank you for your understanding.

I don't think you can call me a telemarketer or spammer, as I'm Not Selling
anything, in fact, I'm using my own money & time for the Benefits of the All Members who can attend.

Also, I've only posted once in each appropriate area (IMO), why is it annoying you?

"IF PEOPLE WANT TO ATTEND THEY'LL FIND THE THREAD AND TELL YOU!"
That's Not Necessarily true!

I'm sorry, also!

Actually me (and many other members) log on and look under "quick links...todays posts" to read and comment on current topics of the day.

I did that today and had to go through 2 pages before I got to any real relevant threads. (Try it and you'll see how many posts you had today!)

I apologize...it's been a long week and I just got on at the wrong time, I didn't mean to come off like an ***!

SILVERFOX, You are doing a great job. Don't let one persons opinion get you down. I don't get to check the site every day and I appreciate the reminders. It's sooo difficult to scroll past a thread you don't want to read.

apkano,
Lets be Fair Now.
They were in 50 different places, you just happened to see them all at once in a Cross Reference, of sorts, correct?
Just trying to clarify the Misunderstanding, between two people.

BTW It won't happen again, if I can help it!

I may be guilty of repetition of a single thread in keeping the "Woodward Dream Cruise" alive by bumping each week to be sure it is seen by members who are not online every day as myself and many others here are.
Also with many new members joining recently I want them to see this thread also. I want to drive this hard to promote a good attendance this year. We are beyond last years attendance and the event is not until August 16.

So with that being said check out the link and join us at the Woodward Dream Cruise.

We need to start posting to every region and have a thread for every state gary.

That must be the way to get attendance...since most of the posts on this thread have no problem with it...after all you can just "scroll past it"!

Sorry Bill...not being snarky towards you...just the others who felt the need to backhand comment me after we made nice. To the others...I know, it's too hard to read the whole thread before you make a comment!
