Sad to report my Sammy is gone

Sorry to hear that FP. We have 3 little dogs and they are like kids.
My wife works at a vets office and she sees this way too often.
Take care - Pat

I've been there my friend. It's hard to explain to some folks how close you can get to a pet. My prayers to you and your family to help ease your pain and heartbreak.
To my extended Crossfire family.
Thank you for your kind words and thoughts. Words can't describe how comforting they have been for me. I really appreciate all of you.
My prayers were actually answered. All I asked for was that he would not go through agonizing end. I didn't want him to suffer, and he didn't.
Thanks again, and may God bless you for your kindness.
Now I have to get back to Crossfire Business.

I'm glad are words and thoughts helped you initially through the loss of Sammy.
I hope you are back home with the family too.
Being in Rhode Island when this happened must have been even more difficult.
Hopefully each day gets a little better and my best wishes to all of you. Gary
