Sorry to hear that FP. We have 3 little dogs and they are like kids.
My wife works at a vets office and she sees this way too often.

I've been there my friend. It's hard to explain to some folks how close you can get to a pet. My prayers to you and your family to help ease your pain and heartbreak.

My prayers were actually answered. All I asked for was that he would not go through agonizing end. I didn't want him to suffer, and he didn't.

I'm glad are words and thoughts helped you initially through the loss of Sammy.
I hope you are back home with the family too.
Being in Rhode Island when this happened must have been even more difficult.
