I'm driving my xfire until a mechanic says, "the wheels just won't go back on."
If they make the Hoverround(electric wheel chair) SSB in a manual tranny, I might bite.
Otherwise, they can bury me in my SSB roadster.

The new 2009 Prius will come out this fall, with a larger electric range and higher HP gas engine. It’s the 2010 Prius that I am waiting to see. It will have plug in capability, so if you plug it in every night you will basically have an electric car for the first 30 or 40 miles driven every day, but the gas engine can kick in as needed for faster acceleration or long range driving.

It looks like they will be using a lithium ion battery.
Here's an old article on it.

The plug in option will not be ready for the 2009 model year.
Here's a current story on the Prius.

Good thing they're looking to get away from nickel-metal hydrides. They are the dioixin of portable power. Non-recyclable.
I always love watching thread drift, this was really started for those of us who only own one car and it happens to be the xf and what we were going to get when our beloved vehicle finally bites the dust. I plan on purchasing the lotus in 2011, by then my xf will likely be nearing the 100k mark. Now I'm sure it will still be a great vehicle and drive quite well but, like I said, one car. Got to have that reliability factor.

What is you next purchase likely to be? I'm thinking a Lotus Exige in 2011. Right now the lowest model exige offered by lotus is supercharged, they must have done away with the n/a(i dont really follow the brand), hopefully they'll bring back the n/a by then. If not I guess I can settle for an extra 30 hp
